Barry McNeill

Scaleup growth specialist, leadership facilitator and coach

Hey, I’m Barry. Great to have you here. As the founder of Work Extraordinary, my mission is to support founders and leaders in taking bold decisions and creating organisations where people can be the very best version of themselves. As an organisational design and leadership development expert, I support business transformation and growth through people.

What’s my secret sauce?

I am hugely playful and love to have fun. The work we do can feel really serious and be quite daunting, at times. But, if we can find a way to play, to have some fun along the way, I will do that. Why? Because I wholeheartedly believe that we can do our very best work when we can let go of the corporate BS and just be ourselves. Our best selves come out when we are feeling playful.

What’s it like to work with me?

I am adaptable and open; I encourage dialogue and welcome feedback and process reviews. My approach tends to be flexible dependent on the requirements and personalities, I relish any new opportunity and myself am somewhat analytical, data driven but tempered with a team orientated way of working that has a conversational, open approach.

What impact do the people I work with get?

I would like to think positive! I try to be approachable, open, and respectful of everyone I interact with. My main aim is to make life a little easier and support in whatever means I can and am asked to, I think this helps my presence be seen as a reliable trusted source of support that enables the people I work with to deliver the results that they want.

Rhian

Rhian Blaszkowicz

Executive coach and facilitator

I am a Chartered Psychologist and Executive Coach whose motivation is to enable people to leverage the power of their potential. Drawing upon 20 years in talent management and my own personal and professional experiences, my coaching guides individuals and organisations to get the most out of themselves, and each other.

What is my secret sauce?

Through a variety of in-house and consulting roles, across many industries and functions, I bring two decades of experience in helping organisations to identify and develop the leadership behaviours and mindsets that drive success.

I tend to work best with leaders facing key transitions or decision points, where I draw upon my strong psychology background, business experience and cognitive-behavioural coaching expertise to uncover and challenge the limiting beliefs that may be holding them back. The intention is to guide towards more productive and sustainable behaviours, for themselves and their business.

What is it like to work with me?

Blending a range of coaching and psychology techniques and principles, my approach to coaching is robust yet flexible, in recognition that people are unique. I first seek to connect people to purpose in order to drive lasting change, before working through what is stopping you from getting there. In doing so, be prepared for me to balance support with appropriate challenge.

What impact do the people I work with get?

I build respect and lasting relationships with the leaders I work with who describe me as “committed and passionate; an outstanding professional” and have reflected that “through well-placed challenge and reflection, Rhian has helped me to become the better version of myself.”

Ultimately, I am not satisfied until my coachees achieve their goals and develop the confidence and capability for self-sustaining new behaviours.

Stephen Lambe

Stephen Lambe

Executive coach and facilitator

One of the things I love about my work is helping someone to sit down and get some practical perspective and forward momentum on whatever issue they’re wrestling with. Whether you are looking to get back in control of your diary and priorities, seeking to influence at a more strategic level, better manage your mindset and ‘show up’ ready to perform, or getting ready for the next big challenge on your career journey, I will find a way to make it work for you.

What is my secret sauce?

I am a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with an Advanced Diploma in Neuroscience, and a professionally qualified Executive Coach with thirty years of experience coaching people. I work with all kinds of people: people who lead banks, run murder investigations, oversee multi-million construction projects, or are building their own businesses in troubling times, have a difficult relationship to navigate, or who have taken a wrong turn somewhere and are trying to correct their course.

My experience has helped me to see that people value a trusted ally, and someone who can help them to cut through the chaff to identify the heart of what needs to be done. We then find a way to get that done.

What is it like to work with me?

I combine psychology with straightforward problem solving, analysis, mindset management, deliberate practice when integrating our learning, continuous feedback, and neuroscience, so that whatever we are working on gets embedded long-term. It feels conversational, challenging, fun, analytical, and the time flies.

What impact do the people I work with get?

I just finished working with a Senior Manager today. She said it was really easy to talk with me, that my focus was pragmatic and insightful, and that it had helped her to navigate a clear and actionable way of dealing with the issues she faced. One other said that the way he now begins and ends his days is transformative and that this keeps him from getting dragged back into the weeds.

Caroline Beeston

Executive coach and facilitator

I’m Caroline. I am passionate about helping executives and leaders thrive in their careers. My expertise in coaching, leadership assessment and development, helps those I coach enhance their personal performance and impact within organisations.

What’s my secret sauce?

My background combines Occupational Psychology, HR, Talent Assessment Consulting and teaching Yoga. I have a 20+ year track record of helping companies build people performance and realise business benefits through impactful talent solutions.

My coaching speciality is supporting leaders who want help being more effective with their leadership style to achieve their goals. The need for coaching is often prompted by transition; a challenging period that typically involves leaders experiencing increased responsibility, complexity, and unique leadership experiences. Their issues, opportunities and needs are always driven and resolved or realised by shifts in mindset, behaviour, and habits. My coaching is grounded in a principle of ‘trusted partnership,’ which ensures leaders feel safe to explore ideas and be challenged without feeling judged.

What it’s like to work with me?

In coaching sessions, I work beside my coachees using an emergent process where we explore topics (linked to pre-agreed coaching goals) and see what comes up. I believe in the power of working with the present moment and not forcing change. This means my style is intuitive and mainly influenced by present-centred awareness, Insight Principles, Gestalt, and the paradox of change.

What impact do the people I work with get?

The leaders I work with express raised self-awareness which enables them to make conscious change and deliver the results they want.  Because of their broad sphere of influence, we expect to see positive knock-on effects on the morale and performance of teams they lead.
